Tanya Olivarria

SPANISH TEACHER

Tanya Olivarria was born and raised in Los Angeles. She studied at La Sierra University in Riverside, CA where she earned a B.A. and teaching credential in Spanish. She lived abroad in Argentina for a school year and just got back from teaching 6 years on the border of Mexico and California in a little town called Calexico.

She met her husband of 20 years in college and they have 3 children : 19 years old, 16 years old, and 5 years ago adopted a beautiful baby girl! She enjoys traveling all over the world with her family.

Tanya has been a teacher for 15 years, teaching a variety of subjects and age groups including high school Spanish, elementary school teacher, and EFL teacher. But Spanish teacher has always been her favorite and looks forward to joining the Sycamore Community School!
