Kelly McCrary grew up in Pasadena, California. She moved East for college, attending Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on teaching English Learners, she moved back to Los Angeles. She furthered her education through Claremont Graduate University, and received her Master’s degree in Education.
Ms. McCrary has been teaching in the Los Angeles area for over three years. She has a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and has experience teaching students from kindergarten to sixth grade. As an educator, Ms. McCrary believes that every child has the skill set and ability to learn and grow and she plans meaningful lessons with her students in mind to challenge, intrigue, and empower them to engage authentically with their learning. Ms. McCrary’s teaching philosophy is anchored in an understanding of child development, a focus on academics, a commitment to her students, and a belief that learning should be a joy!
