Nour Gemayel

3RD GRADE HOMEROOM TEACHER

Nour Gemayel was born in France and was raised in the United States (NJ, OH, MA, FL) and Portugal. She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Comparative Studies and earned her Master’s in Teaching at the University of Southern California. Ms. Gemayel previously taught second grade for six years and first grade for four years. She is excited to be teaching the third graders of Sycamore Community School this coming academic year!

Having moved frequently as a child, Ms. Gemayel greatly valued her teachers’ roles in helping her integrate, form friendships, and thrive academically. She believes when given an environment in which they feel valued, every student can blossom. Ms. Gemayel believes students are intrinsically motivated, curious, and thoughtful. Her aim is to harness this natural drive to make learning fun, exploratory, and continuous, as students form connections between the classroom and the world around them.

Outside of teaching, Ms. Gemayel enjoys time with loved ones, reading, writing, being outdoors, playing the flute, and baking. She looks forward to a wonderful year ahead!
